I've left this blog in place because I know that many people have read it. I hope that it is a continuing source of information to those who are looking. We are still Catholic. We enjoy our church very much. Both my wife and I are in weekly prayer groups. Our daughter is being raised in the Catholic Church.
I'll try and update this more often than once in three and a half years!
I have been a Christian for over thirty years and have tried various kinds of churches. Although my faith in Our Lord is unshaken and unshakable, I have found little or no satisfaction in the churches of the Protestant faith in which I was brought up.
ReplyDeleteI feel that this is due to the fact that Protestants tend to treat their churches as a kind of "social club" rather than as the House of God. Charismatic churches are also all very well but nonetheless I have weighed them in the balance and I have always foune womething wanting.
My lical Roman Xatholic church gives me a warm welcome. In addition there is the question of the Apostolic Succession, which can only date from Peter. Am I as yet ready to begin my journey toward Catholicism? Please advise.
